Hopefully our FAQ page will answer everything you'd like to know, if not please don't hesitate to get in touch, or book a free no obligation consultation.
After the initial consultation and patch test, treatment sessions take place every 6 weeks. For full removal this can be an average of 6 to 10 sessions - therefore 36 to 60 weeks is the average for full removal.
A fade down for cover up takes only 2 to 3 sessions.
It is important to remember that every tattoo and client is different and everyone fades differently - dark tattoos fade quickly, light colours like pink and yellows fade much slower. A person who is healthy and hydrated will fade better than someone who is dehydrated and unhealthy.

Will I get a scar?
There is always a risk of scarring with any procedure like this (as with getting a tattoo in the first place) but there a lot of things we can do to minimise this risk:
We will check your Fitzpatrick Skin Type - this is a scale from 1 to 6 indicating the natural level of pigmentation in the skin. Laser treatment is safe on skin Types 1 to 4, scarring risk is increased greatly when working on types 5 and 6.
We will always ask for pertinent medical details and do a patch test before commencing treatment - this is essential to detect the correct power to start removing your tattoo and to check that your skin does not experience any negative effects.
No Regrets will always use the lowest effective laser power in each session and will always leave 6 weeks or longer between sessions to allow your skin to fully heal.
It is recommended that you stay hydrated, out of the sun and do not pick your scabs! All this things drastically reduce your risk of scarring.
Please check the scale below and check which category best describes you - if you are skin type 1 to 4 you are suitable for laser treatment.
If you are skin type 5 or 6 then your risk of scarring is greatly increased as the laser will also begin to remove the natural melanin from your skin along with the tattoo ink pigment.

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
The sensation of of laser treatment is just like being splashed with bacon fat - a hot sharp shot 'zap'. It has also been likened to being snapped with an elastic band.
Everyone experiences the pain differently, and most clients receive treatment without and pain relief.
